Lori Lindsey

Lori Lindsey

Team: ESPN, CBS, Twitch

Position: Analyst, Color Commentator

Lori is a former professional soccer player who spent 13 years in the game–but most recently, you’ve probably seen her on tv as a charismatic color commentator.

The soccerlife: She represented her sport on both a national and international level. Her proudest moment was representing the United States Women’s National Team at the 2011 Women’s World Cup in Germany, and helping the team earn the 2012 Olympic Gold Medal in London.

She’s one of only four players to have played in all three of the U.S. professional women’s soccer leagues. Lori was a two-time All-American at the University of Virginia and was twice named ACC Player of the Year, joining Mia Hamm as the only two players to accomplish the feat.

The afterlife:

Lori is a magnetic personality, with a prodigious knowledge of the game, the players, and what matters. And a great sense of humor. She’s bringing incisive and revolutionary commentary and analysis to NWSL, MLS, and international games for ESPN, CBS and Fox Sports. Most recently she was on air calling games for the 2021 Olympic games and European World Cup Qualifying matches.

She’s got a very different, edgy and modern vibe as a female sportscaster, which is a stereotype in desperate need of an update. She’s also a terrific public speaker and advocate on issues involving women’s equality and the LGBTQ community.
